For five days in October the art market moves into two temporary buildings in a park, and the rest of the city rearranges itself around them.

Frieze London and Frieze Masters 2026 dates

14 to 18 October 2026, The Regent's Park.

Two fairs, not one

Frieze London shows contemporary work; Frieze Masters shows art from antiquity to the late twentieth century. They run concurrently in the same park, and Frieze announces them together.

What is free that week

Frieze Sculpture is outdoors in the English Gardens and free to anyone, and it is already open — from 16 September to 1 November.

What is not yet published

The 2026 ticket prices are not on the fair's own pages at the time of writing, so none appear here.

Frieze week is the week the whole London art calendar is timed against: the auction houses put their evening sales in it, and the galleries across Mayfair and the East End open their strongest shows to catch the people who flew in for the fair. That is the case for being in London that week and the case against paying to be in the tent — most of what is worth seeing that week is in the galleries and free. If the fair itself is the point, the last day is the quiet one and the first is by invitation.
